Benjamin DeWalt is the co-founder and senior instructor of OnSight Firearms Training. Benjamin has been a life-long martial artist and firearms enthusiast, starting as a kid with long guns in western Pennsylvania. His accreditations include various NRA instructor certifications, Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Instructor certification, and Massachusetts State Police Certified Firearms Instructor. Benjamin has been teaching various defensive-focused shooting classes since 2005. He has also been teaching martial arts and hand-to-hand self-defense since 2010. DEFENSIVE PISTOL 1
This course is designed to introduce the beginner or intermediate shooter to the art of defensive and tactical pistol shooting.
This class is intended for beginning to intermediate level shooters who want to learn the skills to utilize their carbine in a defensive shooting situation. This nine hour class is intended to instill in students the mindset and skills to allow them to use their carbine as a defensive tool in a deadly force encounter.
This course is designed to introduce the beginner or intermediate shooter to the art of defensive and practical/tactical shotgun shooting.
CONCEALED CARRY DEFENSIVE PISTOL
This class is designed for individuals who carry concealed or intend to carry concealed and are seeking self defense skills for their everyday environment. The focus will be on drawing and manipulating our pistols and magazines from under the concealment of shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. items in our daily wardobe.
This class will help build skills, techniques and confidence for the beginner, or intermediate shooter. This is also a great opportunity for the advanced shooter to refresh and practice their skills as well as learn something new.
DEFENSIVE PISTOL BASICS / LOW LIGHT, Dry Fire
Are you a new shooter? New to carrying a firearm on you? Planning to begin carrying a firearm in your daily life? Worried about carrying a firearm? Are you an experienced concealed carry permit holder looking for some new information and techniques? This class will have something for everyone to learn or improve on.
OnSight Firearms Training will be hosting a “Back To Basics” seminar. This seminar will focus on many integral aspects of defensive pistol fighting in a “dry-fire” setting, using dummy rounds or dry fire for many drills. We will also focus on “low-light techniques”.
